International cooperation The RDC is guided primarily by the national philosophy of self-reliance but over the years has also succeeded in establishing valuable working relations with major institutions abroad, both governmental and non-governmental, including:- the Swiss Federal Archives UNESCO the International Council on Archives (ICA) the International Records Management Trust (IRMT) African Archives and Museums Project (AAMP) Social Science Research Council (SSRC), New York the Italian, Danish and French embassies in Asmara. The links established to date have already served to encourage the setting up of RDC programs.
